A Simple Recipe to Prepare Delicious French Toasts

French toast is a delicious dish made with bread and eggs. In France, it was called "pain perdu" (litterally, lost bread) as it was a way of using bread from the days before, considered "lost" - it would be trown away anyway. French toasts can be served as a snack, sprinkled with powdered sugar, or as a breakfast dish.


French Toast Recipe for 4 people

Ingredients for 4 people
- 8 slices of your favorite bread, thick cut (stale bread will absorb the egg and milk mixture better)
- 1 cup / 250 ml milk
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 2 eggs
- Powdered sugar
- Butter

Beat the eggs. Stir in sugar, salt, and milk. Mix together.
Soak the bread slices in the mixture.
In a frying pan coated with a thin layer of butter, fry the soaked bread slices one by one on one side until golden brown, then turn and brown the other side.
Sprinkle the powdered sugar onto the French toast and serve immediately.
