We ship French gifts, French food and French products to many countries. Here are the details of our online store shipping policy.

Please note we have a $20 minimum order required to validate your order. 

Buying from our website is implicit agreement of all our policies. 

Delivery to the US, Canada and other countries.

We ship products to the US and Canada and, internationally. If your destination is not included in our international shipping list please let us know. We are going to add more countries rates very soon. If you are interested in placing an order from a country that is not included in our shipping list, please contact us for a quote at: contact@saveurdujour.com with your full address.

Due to COVID-19 we have limited the countries we ship to for now.

We ship from the Us and due to the changes in rules for customs duties in the EU since July 2021, we do not ship to the EU or the United Kingdom from the Saveur du Jour website presently.

Should you be interested in ordering from us from the EU or the United Kingdom, we can create a reserved listing for non-food products in our Etsy store if the total order is under 150 Euros for the EU or, under 135 GPB for the United Kingdom. Please note that VAT and International shipping will be added to your order.

Products Shipping

We ship with USPS, UPS or FedEx in the USA for and to Canada with a tracking number.

For Standard Shipping we will choose the best solution regarding the price and the delay of delivery according to the weight of your order. Standard Shipping expected delivery date varies with your location from 3 to 8 business days.

For UPS and FedEx, please note that they do not deliver to P.O. boxes, please give us a street address.

For other international shipping we might use USPS, Global Post, UPS, FedEx or DHL depending.

For Express Shipping, please contact us for a quote.

Order Tracking

You will receive an automated email notification to inform you about your tracking number. Please note that international shipments may not always be tracked once they leave the US and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

Shipping from the US and Shipping from France                                                                         

Most products ship from the US and some products will soon also ship from France. Products shipping from France are marked "This product ships from France". If you order a combination of products that ship from the US and products that ship from France, you will receive two shipments and the shipping cost will be the sum of the shipping costs from the US and from France.

Due to COVID-19 Shipping from France is limited. Email us to inquire. 

Shipping to different Addresses                                                                                                                          

Please place a separate order for each shipping address. The platform doesn't allow us to have more than one shipping address per order. 

Products by the Case

Products by the Case ship by FedEx, UPS or USPS only to the US. They are shipped separately from the other products and have their own shipping fee included in the item price. They are excluded from any free shipping offer and discount offer. 

Note to customers

Most of our products ship from the US.

But as a North American buyer for products that might be shipped from France, you are the “importer” of goods. Goods entering the US may be inspected by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and assessed for applicable Customs duties, taxes and charges, if any. Likewise, goods entering Canada may be inspected by Canadian Customs and assessed for applicable Customs duties, taxes and charges, if any. It is the importer's responsibility to account for any duties and/or taxes, while ensuring compliance with Customs regulations in the US and in Canada. Likewise, for other countries in the world.

Time in transit and Delivery Date

We try our best to ship 2 to 3 days after receiving an order. However it can happen that the shipment goes out within 3 to 4 days. Please note that orders placed on weekends will ship the following Monday or Tuesday.

Food by the case products ship within 5 to 10 days.

For domestic orders, should you not receive your order 3 weeks after you placed it, contact us asap. 

Please note that products made to order require 10 days to 3 weeks before shipping.

Refused Shipment/Delivery Failure due to Lack of Availability/ Lost Package after Delivery

It is important that each customer provide us with the correct shipping information. Any orders placed with incorrect addresses and/or zip codes that need to be corrected by UPS for delivery will incur an additional charge of $5.00 for standard delivery and $10.00 for express delivery options. Any shipments that are returned to Saveur du Jour by shipping carriers due to: refusal of delivery; incorrect address supplied by customer; undeliverable as addressed or delivery failure due to lack of availability on recipient's part will not be automatically refunded. If we issue a refund we will charge a 10 % restocking fee. The shipping fee is not refundable. You will need to place a new order if you want the products redelivered. If your package is lost/stolen after delivery we will not issue a refund. 

Please note: Our responsibility ends after the package tracking shows as "Delivered". We are not responsible for stolen packages.

Refunds for undeliverable packages that were returned to us

Refunds that are requested and approved by Saveur du Jour will be issued to your credit card or Paypal account. The shipping fee is not refundable and we charge a 10% restocking fee.  If you wish that the order be re-shipped, a second shipping charge will be billed equivalent to actual shipping charges. Please make sure that your shipping address is a street address, as we do not deliver to a P.O. Box. No refund will be given if the shipment is lost and not returned to us or damaged when we receive it.

Please be aware that there are absolutely no refunds on international orders.

Lost and Damaged Merchandise

Inspect merchandise immediately upon receipt and notify us if your shipment is damaged. We will file a claim with the carrier. Please send us supporting evidence, take pictures of the damaged package and products. We will refund you the price of the damaged goods. 

In case of a lost package we will refund only if it is lost during transit. NO REFUNDS for packages that show as having been delivered. 

Out of Stock Items

Items out of stock are marked “out of stock” on our website. You will be notified if an item is out of stock prior to placing the order. If for some reason an item becomes unavailable between the time you order the item and the time it is shipped, you will be notified immediately and a full refund of the out of stock item will be applied to your credit card as soon as possible, and in any event within 30 days of your order.

Return Policy

Please inspect and check the items that you ordered once you receive them. If you are not satisfied with your order, please return the non-edible items in original condition with a copy of the invoice within 15 DAYS. All items must be new and unused, preferably in the original packaging.

Sorry, we cannot accept any returns after 15 DAYS or without an invoice. Please use a traceable shipping method (UPS, FEDEX, or insured mail) to return your order. Saveur du Jour is not responsible for returned orders that we do not receive or if the returned order is damaged during shipping. You do not need to get authorization from us to return an order for non edible items but please let us know that you are not keeping it.

We do not accept returns or give refunds on edible products, if the product is damaged when you receive it (see above), thanks for your comprehension. Should your product be damaged or spoiled because you chose a slower shipping speed than the one we recommend we will not issue any refund. 

If products are damaged, you must send us supporting evidence (pictures) of the reason you want to place a claim. A dented can is not an acceptable reason as it doesn't affect the product itself.

Please note that most of our products are imported from France and most best by dates are DAY/MONTH/YEAR. Delicatessen items do not have a best by/expiration date, the cured meats we ship have a best by date of 12 or 24 weeks after we ship them depending of the product. (please refer to the description in the product).

The macarons are shipped with ice, with 2 or 3-day shipping, and need to be refrigerated as soon as they arrive. Please order only if you will be home to receive them. 

Shipping costs for returning an item are the responsibility of the customer. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Shipping of the returned items must be postmarked within 15 days of purchase

If a returned item was part of the "FREE SHIPPING", Shipping Costs for returning item are the responsibility of the customer and the original Shipping Cost amount (not charged due to FREE SHIPPING) will be deducted from the refund amount.

We have a no return or refund policy on items made to order

Face Masks are final sale, no returns or refunds.

Clearance items are final sale, no returns or refunds.

Prices and Coupons

All prices are subject to change without notice.

Free shipping coupon codes and discount codes need to be entered at time of check up. They apply exclusively to Standard US Shipping (UPS Ground or USPS Advantage). The purchase amount required for Free Shipping varies. Sorry no free shipping on International orders. The Free shipping coupon needs to be entered on the check out shipping page. You may need to unselect and select again Standard Shipping for the coupon to be deducted. The shipping price will still show but it will be deducted from your total. 

Please note French Macarons are excluded from the free shipping discount and do not count towards the $100 total order for the FREESHIPUS discount to be applied as they ship 2-Day.

We offer local pick-up so you might see Free Shipping in your shopping cart, the shipping is calculated after you enter your address. 

Our Right to Refuse Your Order

We reserve the right to refuse your order for any reason. If we refuse your order we will notify you by email and a full refund of your order will be applied to your credit card as soon as possible, and in any event within 60 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for the disappointment suffered.
