Vintage Sandor Natural Branch Coral Cluster Gold Tone Clip-on Earrings

Stunning vintage signed Sandor natural branch coral cluster and gold tone round clip-on earrings from the 1940's. The small coral branches are clustered together and then secured with wire to the back plate. 

They are signed Sandor at the back, and can be dated from 1939 as the mark changed in 1940. 

They are in very good vintage condition.

The American brand Sandor was founded in 1938 by Sandor Goldberger. They are well known for pastel flowers in a frame made of silver, decorated with enamel and rhinestones. Their jewelry pieces show very original designs, excellent craftmanship and looked like real jewels. Sandor ceased its operation in 1972. Most of the pieces released in 1939 were marked “Sandor” and the mark was used until 1955. After 1955 the © was added.
