Rose Flower Water - Noirot

Rose Flower water is traditionally used in North African and Middle Eastern recipes but it is used also in French recipes. It can be used to flavor cookies, ice cream, cocktails to give them a floral note. Try to add a few drops to whipped cream or mascarpone and eat with fresh strawberries or raspberries.

Rose flower water is a byproduct of making rose perfume, an ancient process that originated in Persia centuries ago by steam-distilling crushed rose petals to obtain their essential oils. (rose water is the liquid that remains, it can also be made by steeping rose petals in hot water.
