Possibly the most popular jewelry brand of the 1950s – 1960s, Coro jewelry was founded in New York by Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger in 1901/1902. The corporate name “Coro” was adopted in 1943. Coro Jewelry is most noted for its collections from the 1930s to the 1950s featuring brooches, double-clip brooches, necklaces, and bracelets. Its great success was due to the quality of their designs, the affordability of the pieces and the appeal to a wide range of consumers. They stopped producing jewelry in 1979. Thermoset Lucite jewelry was manufactured predominantly in the 1950s-1960s. It was ideal for jewelry because Lucite (a heavier plastic) could be molded into many creative shapes and designs. It was a technique widely used by Coro.

All jewelry is gift packaged in organza bags and earrings come with silicone pads for comfort and security.

Please note that most of the jewelry photos are taken at 5 to 10X magnification. This shows any blemishes much more magnified than they really are.
