White coral, Silver &...
Beautiful Italian shell cameo from the 1930's or 1940's, gold plated over sterling silver. The carving is very fine and detailed. It is showcased by the contrasting green of faceted hessonite garnet and finished with vermeil spacers and clasp.
The cameo is in very good vintage condition. It has a bail to be used as a pendant but also a pin closure to use as a brooch (not possible while part of the green garnet necklace). It is marked 925 for sterling silver and has also the Italian jeweler maker's mark which is difficult to read but has the letter A for the city of Arezzo and the number 527 for the jeweler.
