Paris Souvenir Print - Tour Saint Jacques
Original 1915 colored photogravure, extract from a Paris souvenir booklet that used to be purchased by tourists visiting the "City of Lights"
The original print depicts the Tour Saint Jacques and is presented in a cellophane sleeve with a 8'x11" mat, ready to be framed. The print itself is approximately 7" x 4 1/2". This is a very unique period piece. The 171 ft Flamboyant Gothic tower is all that remains of the former 16th-century Church of Saint-Jacques-de-la-Boucherie ("Saint James of the butchers"), which was demolished in 1797, during the French Revolution, leaving only the tower.
