Where is Saveur du Jour located?
Saveur du Jour is based in Santa Clara, California and in Nice, France. We ship fresh food products such as charcuterie and most products from the US, and occasionally some other products directly from France.
Why is my order not being validated? We have a minimum order of $20 required to validate an order.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards. PayPal users can also pay with their PayPal account.
What are the shipping methods available?
Most products ship from the US, however some products ship from France. Products shipping from France are marked explicitly "This product ships from France" or “Shipping from France available”. Products shipping from the US ship with USPS, UPS or FedEx. Products shipping from France ship with UPS or La Poste. Please check our shipping policy for details.
When will I receive my order?
Orders placed on a given day generally ship the next business day or within 2 to 3 days. Orders placed on weekends ship the following Monday. Time in transit depends on the product you order. Our fresh products (Meat, charcuterie, macarons…) ship from the US by UPS or USPS on a 2nd Day basis. If you place your order for fresh products on Thursday or Friday we will ship them on the following Monday. Most products ship with Standard Shipping either with USPS, UPS or FedEx ground from the US unless you choose a faster shipping method. The other products that ship from France with UPS or La Poste have usually a transit time of 5 to 10 business days.

Is local pick up possible?
Yes, if you choose local pick up you may do so in Santa Clara, CA. We will email you the location. Use code PICKUP after selecting Standard Shipping.
What countries do you ship to?
At this time, orders taken on the Saveur du Jour site ship to the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. Please contact us directly for shipment to other countries. We will add your country.
Do I need to create an account to order products?
No, you don't have to. To order products, you can create an account (this only takes about 2 minutes), but that's optional. You can also check out as a guest (no account created), but in that case, you will not be able to save your cart contents, to check the status of your orders or to receive Saveur du Jour newsletters.
How do I order Saveur du Jour products?
To order products, please place your order online on this website. To begin shopping, simply click on the product category that is of interest to you and browse until you find the product you are looking for. To add an item to your order, click "Add to Cart". When you add an item, all your selections will be displayed with a subtotal. View your entire order at any time by clicking "View Cart". Click Checkout (at the top of the screen) when you are ready to checkout and proceed to payment.
How do I use a Discount Coupon? When on the page showing the items in your cart, click on "Have a discount Code", enter the code and click on "Add". The discount will be deducted from your total.
How do I use the Free Shipping Code? We offer free Standard Shipping for orders $100 and above. When on the shipping page, the Standard Shipping is selected by default, you may need to unselect it and select it again for the discount coupon to be accepted. Then click on "Have a discount Code", enter the code FREESHIPUS and click on "Add". The shipping will be deducted from your total.
The Free Shipping is offered only for Standard Ground shipping. We do not offer Free shipping with Express Shipping, 3-Day UPS, 2-Day UPS or USPS Priority Mail.
How do I send a gift order? The first address you enter at check out is the shipping address of your recipient, uncheck the x at the bottom to then enter your billing address. If you wish to send more than one gift order, please place separate orders for each address. If your billing address is in a country we do not ship to presently, enter only the recipient address and then use your credit card or PayPal at check out. When sending a gift if addresses are not entered correctly you may not be offered a shipping method or shipping might show as free, contact us if you are having issues. We will contact you if you are not charged shipping as we offer free shipping only if you use the discount code.
How do I ship to different addresses? Please place separate orders for each address.
How do I know my payment is secure? At Saveur du Jour, we take your security very seriously. We have implemented a couple of measures to maximize online payment protection:
1. We don’t store your credit card information (which is why you will need to enter it each time you come back to the site).
2. All transactions are encrypted with https connections and state of the art, 2048-bit encryption for maximum security.
How can I track my order?
When you have placed your order, you will automatically receive an email notification to inform you about your order status.
What should I do if the merchandise I have received is damaged?
We package your goods very thoroughly to avoid any damage during shipment. Please inspect merchandise immediately upon receipt and notify the carrier if the merchandise has been damaged. All claims must be filed with the carrier.
What happens when a product is out of stock?
Items out of stock are marked “out of stock” on the Saveur du Jour site. You will be notified if an item is out of stock prior to placing the order. If for some reason an item becomes unavailable between the time you order the item and the time it is shipped, you will be notified immediately and a full refund of the out of stock item will be applied to your credit card as soon as possible, and in any event within 60 days of your order.
What is your return policy?
If you are not satisfied with your order, please return the items in original condition with a copy of the invoice within 15 DAYS. Please check our shipping policy for details. Please note we do not accept return for food products unless damaged. No return on clearance items
How do you ensure the confidentiality of my personal information?
The information we collect to process your order is kept private.
First, we do not store your credit card information in our database.
Second, we don’t share your name, address, telephone number, email address, or credit card information with anyone (except the shipping company, i.e., USPS, FedEx or UPS).
Where do our products come from?
Most of our products are made and/or imported from France. We also carry a few products from other European countries like Italy, Portugal, Spain... Some other products that are popular in France might be made in other countries like for example the foutas.
