Albert Weiss founded his jewelry company on his own, he worked first for Coro, where he discovered that he was gifted for designing jewelry and learnt the tricks of the trade. In 1942 he set up his own costume jewelry company in New York. He employed only people who specialized in handcrafted pieces. It took hard work and skills to produce his high-end jewelry pieces. His exclusive jewelry collections became very popular. The company closed for business not long after he retired in 1969.

Today, Weiss jewelry is an excellent addition to vintage collections, deemed rare and precious due to the small range that exists, causing its price to spike to unprecedented levels in recent years.
