Both pieces bear the  Rosenthal Selb Bavaria Donatello mark in green underglaze, dating back to 1922. The bowl has the signature of the painter Catharine G. ..smith the last name is difficult to read. 

Both pieces are in very good condition, attesting to their timeless beauty and care through the years. Interestingly, these two pieces appear to have been decorated by two different artists, possibly in the United States where these beautiful blank canvases were imported from Germany. China decorating was a popular hobby since the mid 1800's.
